Paul Brannen MEP speaks the at Farmers' Debates

07 June 2016

Paul Brannen MEP spoke about the UK's membership of the European Union at the North East EU Referendum Rural Economy debate.

The event was chaired by Lord Curry. Paul Brannen was joined by Simon Bainbridge, from Farmers for IN, and  Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP and Duff Burrell from Farmes for Britain for the leave campaign, and Professor David Harvey from the Centre for the Rural Economy as an independent.

It took place on Friday June, at the Alnwick Playhouse.

Paul Brannen MEP said:

“It is crucial for the North East that we remain in the European Union.

“Our membership of the EU has benefited Northumberland through access to EU funding and investment, including funding for the Alnwick Garden.

“The European Union creates jobs in the region, protects our rights, improves our environment, and ensures that we live in a safer, more secure world.”

Do you think the North East needs its own voice in the EU exit negotiations?
