Paul speaks in support of fair pay in the NHS

15 October 2014

This morning I spoke at a picket line in support of fair pay in the NHS. This is the first time the Royal College of Midwives has been on strike in its 133 year history - a clear sign that this Government is treating NHS staff unfairly. The Government has ignored an independent review which said NHS staff should get a 1% pay increase. There is clear public support for the NHS strike action today and the call for fair pay.

Do you think the North East needs its own voice in the EU exit negotiations?
